I’m delighted to be leading two workshops over two days for the RPS Visual Arts Group’s AGM at the De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor this April. I’ll be delivering workshops alongside Nathan Barr, Paul Colley and Derek Reay - so there are a full range of topics covered. I’m not technology specific on this one, so bring your favourite tools… You only need to attend one of the days. I’ll then be giving a talk on the Saturday evening.
Text from the RPS:
In addition to her talk Rhiannon, photographer and storyteller, will lead a local photowalk, focusing on creating portraits in context, a departure from candid street portraiture. All too often, the fear of approaching a subject can be overwhelming and the shot is missed – this walk is designed to conquer this shyness and build confidence. She will also be able to give tips on ways to construct your shot while directing subjects effectively, using available light, to develop a sense of narrative and individuality. All participants will be given a worksheet of practical tasks to develop and cement their own approach. Rhiannon will also be on hand to offer participants support to reflect on larger long-term projects.
